So i get frequent crashes whenever i open the settings menu or quick saving. The traceback.txt shows the following

Well, there's two versions of Summertime Saga now: the game that you probably played was 0.20.16 from 10-31-2022. The new version was made 05-31-2024 and you can read the details on https://www.patreon.com/posts/version-21-0-0-105305169 or visiting https://summertimesaga.com/news and scroll down to Version 21.0.0 Release! (Tech-Update wip.4468) but clicking the text will take you to the Patreon link I put above. The most recent update to this new version is Update wip.5258 (hotfix). Going to https://summertimesaga.com/download has both the 0.20.16 version and the 21.0.0-wip.5258 version. No idea why it isn't 0.21.0.0-wip.5258
I think Dark Coffee is stealing your game. It's called The Wintertime Chronicles where you play as Frank and you try to outrun your mafia past. The characters are parodies but the art style looks similar to yours as well. The name Dark Coffee is a nice touch Dark Cookie. Mocha Muse got handed creative control so maybe "chat" with them.

Looking at some of the screenshots of their page, they're 100% using generative AI trained on Dark Cookie's artwork...
Even if it is AI generated it is still stealing the style. I don't know if there are any legal issues but in terms of looks it is a 100% Dark Cookie's style. You can say it was inspired or is a tribute, but bottom line is you still need permission from the source.
Yeah, that's my point, it's a cheap production that is using AI to steal Dark Cookie's art and regurgitate it into a shitty knockoff that uses the recognizability of their work to pull in suckers who don't know any better.
My issue is that even if Dark Cookie is busy, I feel that this needs to be addressed by Dark Cookie. A game dev should be active with their community.
How to start Diane and Jenny routes ? I checked a walkthrough but they just don't show up where they should.
Well the wiki has this https://wiki.summertimesaga.com/Walkthrough but the WIP version also has a feature in the phone there's a notepad icon where when selected you have tasks with decent hints but if you need a very step-by-step hint just click the text with the hint or the character face icon.

It's not even a question of whether Steam accepts it or not but whether the developer(s) accept it or will actually want to put it on Steam... that's why it's a suggestion as it would be cool (there are several h scene games on Steam, just see it)
Steam has some games where they shouldn't even be on Steam. The number of knockoffs and parodies that get approved is stupid.

No, what I meant was there are people who don't put effort into games. If it's a parody, meme, or a game that devs make with the intention of being crazy (like Goat Simulator or Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon) then don't half ass it.
As a French player living in the south of the country, Miss Bissette's blackboard really made me laugh.
It’s vital (ironic) to improve the game guide(notes)…I finished everything I could finish, but as it turns out I haven’t even seen half of the content from the game, while the existing notes tells me that I don’t have any tasks. I can play for 400 hours just by running like a blind cat through locations in search of communication with characters previously unknown to me… even if I use the guide from the official website it will take me 200 hours. It’s just inconvenient, sorry if it’s a trouble.
Their website says that new versions will have much better quest guides and hints than the old versions. They are rebuilding the game in a new engine and have said they're working on adding foundational feedback like that in the new builds.

is it just me or can other people also like not scroll back to the chat? like i've tried multiple times to scroll PgUp or PgDn and even tried scrolling with my mouse scroll but nothing's working, even though it says in the controls that it's supposed to work with just PgUp or PgDn, can anybody help me?
I think that was intentional, due to some branching choices down the line and certain "forced" scenes, so it won't bug your game if you try to revert the chat. I'd say be glad there isn't a time limit on the number of days progressed. I'm currently 160 days in and only on part 2 of the main story.

how do i transfer saves from .11 to .16?
go to your game's folder and look into Game, then there will be a Saves folder. copy that to a different spot (entire folder) and replace/delete the old game entirely, and put the save folder back into the game folder, and play again. Should work fine

Only sounds I have are music, and gardening (PC). Voices are usually added at late progress.

yeah its very common for these types of games to have little or no sound or voice acting at least till the late stages of development, when most of the scenes are finished

Dark Cookie is getting almost 70k a Month on his patreon and is Totally dragging this on so long. It's been Months since they started the tech update and they Still aren't done. Talk about milking people for all their money. I've seen single developers with more complex games put out more content. Dark Cookie is a ripoff and a scammer. Move on people, move on.

originally came for the content... however, the end of the story, that roped me in more. Well done, well done indeed. However I do have a few qualms... Didn't really some of like the... er... 'cameos'... or whatever. Feel like the main baddie was only good cameo, or the only one that fit the role. and I cant believe its still in alpha with all this content...
